1. What this policy covers
This policy explains how djinn six ltd ("djinn six", "we", "us") uses cookies and similar technologies (together "cookies") on our website, what choices you have and how to exercise them. It should be read alongside our privacy policy.
2. What cookies are
Cookies are small files placed on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies include local storage, pixels and scripts. They allow a site to remember your actions and preferences, measure how the site is used and, where enabled, support marketing.
3. How consent works on this site
When you first visit our website a consent banner lets you:
- Accept all cookies;
- Reject all non-essential cookies;
- Customise your choices, using individual toggles for the analytics and marketing categories described in section 4. Strictly necessary storage is always on because the site does not work without it.
Non-essential cookies are not set until you have made a choice. Your choice is stored so you are not asked on every visit, and you can change or withdraw it at any time through the Cookie settings link in the website footer. Withdrawing consent stops the relevant cookies being set from that point; you can also delete existing cookies through your browser.
4. Categories of cookies we use
Strictly necessary. Required for the site to function, including the local storage entry that remembers your cookie choices. These cannot be switched off through the banner because the site does not work without them and they are exempt from the consent requirement.
Analytics. We use Umami, a privacy-focused analytics service that is cookieless and collects only aggregated usage statistics, with no cross-site tracking and no personal profiles. It sets no cookies, though we still offer it as a toggle so the choice is yours. It runs only with your consent.
Marketing. ActiveCampaign site tracking helps us understand which of our pages and campaigns interest visitors and, if you submit a form or click a link in one of our emails, links your visits to your contact record so we can follow up relevantly. This category is off until you consent.
Functional storage. Some interactive tools on our site, such as our assessments, save your progress and results in your browser's local storage. This data is stored only when you use the relevant tool, stays on your device and is never transmitted as tracking.
5. Cookies in use
| Name | Set by | Type | Category | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| djinnsix-consent-v1 | djinn six | Local storage | Strictly necessary | Stores your cookie and consent choices, including any do-not-sell opt-out you record | Until you clear it |
| prism_802523421 | ActiveCampaign (on .djinnsix.com) | Cookie | Marketing | Anonymous visitor identifier, linked to your contact record if you submit a form or click a link in one of our emails | 30 days |
| prism_802523421 | ActiveCampaign (on prism.app-us1.com) | Third-party cookie | Marketing | Server-side counterpart of the visitor identifier above | 30 days |
| djinnsix-aws-assessment-v1 | djinn six | Local storage | Functional | Saves your assessment answers so you can resume | Until you clear it |
| djinnsix-aws-assessment-pdf-v1 | djinn six | Local storage | Functional | Caches your generated assessment report | Until you clear it |
| djinnsix-quickcheck-prompt-v1 | djinn six | Local storage | Functional | Remembers that you dismissed a prompt so it is not shown again | Until you clear it |
Our site also makes requests to ActiveCampaign content delivery and tracking domains (diffuser-cdn.app-us1.com, prism.app-us1.com and trackcmp.net) and to Umami analytics (cloud.umami.is and gateway.umami.is). Umami is cookieless and none of these requests sets a cookie beyond those listed above.
6. Do not sell or share my personal information
We do not currently sell personal information. Some United States state privacy laws, including the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended, define "selling" and "sharing" broadly enough to cover some cookie-based disclosures to advertising and analytics providers, so we provide a standing opt-out you can record at any time.
You can opt out of any selling or sharing, now or in the future, by:
- switching on the do not sell my personal information toggle in our cookie preferences (also reachable through the Do not sell or share my personal information link in the website footer), which sets your marketing and analytics toggles to off and records the opt-out in your browser;
- enabling Global Privacy Control in your browser, which we treat as a valid opt-out signal for that browser; or
- emailing contact@djinnsix.com, which is the right route if you want the opt-out applied to details we already hold or you cannot use the browser controls.
If you share your details with us, for example through a form, while your opt-out is switched on, the opt-out itself is recorded against your contact record in our customer relationship management platform. It then follows you across devices and will be honoured if our position on selling or sharing ever changes. Only an explicit opt-out is recorded in this way; the absence of a signal is never treated as consent.
We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16. Opting out does not affect strictly necessary cookies and you will not be discriminated against for exercising this choice.
7. Managing cookies in your browser
Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies through their settings. Doing so may affect how the site works. Guidance for common browsers is available at their support sites, and general information about cookies is available at allaboutcookies.org.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the cookies we use change. The current version, with its last updated date, is always available on our website. Material changes will be reflected in a refreshed consent banner where required.
